Collegiate StarLeague Introduces Madden NFL 17 Tournament Series, EA Partnership

The Collegiate StarLeague and Electronic Arts are partnering in hosting Madden NFL ’17 championship series events. The events will pit schools from all over North America against each other for the chance to win $10,000 on April 8 at the Midwest Campus Clash at Columbia College in Missouri. Tournament registration is open now, with series being hosted on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Collegiate Starleague Grand Finals & Esports Festival

The biggest live CSL experience is preparing to invade Huntington Beach at Ultimate Media Ventures with tournaments, panels, music, food, and more! Collegiate Esports will never be the same again. About CSL: Collegiate Starleague is the world’s first collegiate gaming organization. We have been hosting collegiate competitions since 2009 and have grown to over 900 universities and 30,000 players actively competing in our league. We now run leagues across multiple titles and platforms and have awarded over $400,000 in scholarships to deserving college gamers.

Lees-McRae College

Lees-McRae eSports athletes compete on a national level competing against colleges/universities across the country. The games they compete on are League of Legends, Hearthstone, Starcraft 2, Overwatch and anything else that seems fit. They use their own arena to compete against others as well as practice, strategize, and watch replays to improve upon.  Mainly competing through TeSPA, Strive Wire, Battlefy and CSL, they have competed and beat many colleges, universities and individuals.

Averett University

Averett University is the only four-year University in Virginia to add a varsity Esports program. Averett is a member of two conferences, including the only varsity competitive gaming league, the National Association of Collegiate Esports, as well as the Collegiate Starleague, or CSL, a junior varsity conference. Averett’s Esports team competes against Division l and ll schools across the country. Any full-time, traditional, undergraduate student is eligible to try out, and must maintain a certain GPA, attend practices and keep up with study hours in order to remain on the team. GamesAverett Esports team members have the chance to compete in one or more of the following games: Call of Duty CS:GO FIFA Fighter League of legends Madden NBA2k Overwatch Pokemon Rocket league Smash Bros.
