emode and Scrawny announced as AVGL talent

A new Canadian talent power couple has been established as emode and Scrawny take on college esports with AVGL. emode recently put his career as a professional player on the back-burner as he continues to find his place on the talent desk. The American Video Game League, a college esports league, recently announced their CS:GO season that will span eight weeks and culminate in a LAN finals with a $10,000 prize pool. Both casters hail from the Great White North of Canada and have worked various gigs as on-air talent with ESEA and Dreamhack. Patrao recently hung up his jersey after the disbanding of MDL team Good People, and is now in pursuit of a more permanent role in the talent world. 

Motm allude to imminent disbanding of Good People. AVGL is currently holding open registration for the league, which is scheduled to run from January 9th-March 19th. Early bird registration has been extended for a short time, so be sure to sign-up soon to save some of those precious college funds.

Calculation of average values of an image sequence

My name is Marcus Groe and I am working in the field of 3d measurements using structured light. Is evaluating the use of GPU’s for image processing tasks. In order to get to know OpenCL I have written a kernel, which averages twentyone gray value images and writes the results into global device memory for later usage. For this problem there seems to be no big performance gain, when using the GPU. I have a few question related to that result. 1) The problem may be that for every memory access there is only one addition made, so that the memory bandwith hinder a faster execution. 6) I am also eager to see more examples written in OpenCL, which handle image processing. 

I am using CUDA-Toolkit 3.0 + NVIDIA 9500GT. Kernel-Code://’l’ contains image data of one camera, ‘r’ contains image data of a second camera, average values are computed for both cameras kernel void AverageKernel( global float* avgL, global float* avgR, global float* l, global float* r).
